How to Apply

Program Announcement

The Office of Global Affairs (OGA) announces the exchange program information and available partner universities.

Submit Application Documents

Students prepare and submit the required documents before the application deadline.

Required documents may include:

  • Application form
  • Academic transcript
  • Language proficiency certificate
  • Study plan
  • Recommendation letters
  • Passport copy

Interview & Selection

Applicants may be invited for interviews or internal review procedures.

Result Announcement

Selected students will receive nomination and further instructions from OGA.

Host University Application

Students complete the host university application procedures and prepare visa and travel documents.

Begin Exchange Program

Students study abroad at the partner university for the approved semester(s).

Study Abroad While Continuing Your Degree at TCU

Explore the world through the Outbound Exchange Student Program at Tzu Chi University. Students have the opportunity to study at one of TCU’s partner universities overseas for one or two semesters while continuing to earn credits toward their degree.

Through international exchange, students can broaden their global perspective, improve language abilities, experience different cultures, and develop independence and adaptability for the future.

Program Overview

The Outbound Exchange Student Program allows students to study at overseas partner universities through agreements established by Tzu Chi University.

Exchange students typically:

  • Study abroad for one or two semesters
  • Continue paying tuition and fees to TCU
  • Receive tuition waivers at the host university (depending on agreement)
  • Earn transferable academic credits upon completion
  • Experience academic and cultural exchange opportunities

Please note that accommodation, airfare, insurance, visa fees, and personal expenses are generally not included.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants should meet the following conditions:

  • Be a full-time student at Tzu Chi University
  • Undergraduate students are generally required to be sophomore level or above at the time of exchange
  • Have a good academic record and conduct
  • Meet the language proficiency requirements of the host university
  • Obtain approval from their department or program

Some partner universities may require additional qualifications depending on their regulations.
