How to Apply for NHI (National Health Insurance) Card
Introduction 簡介
If this is your first time joining Taiwan’s National Health Insurance (NHI), the Office of Global Affairs (OGA) will apply for the NHI card for you. Once your card is ready, you will be notified to pick it up at OGA.
如果你是第一次加入臺灣全民健康保險（健保），全球事務處（OGA）會協助申請健保卡，並於卡片完成後通知你領取。
Who Needs to Join? 誰需要加入健保？
According to Taiwan regulations, all international students must have health insurance during their stay.
依規定，所有境外生在臺期間都需投保醫療保險。
- Students with a valid ARC who have stayed in Taiwan for 6 consecutive months must join NHI
持 ARC 且在臺連續居住滿6個月者需加入健保
- If not yet eligible, students must enroll in Group Medical Insurance first
未符合資格者需先投保團體醫療保險
Eligibility 加入條件
You can apply for NHI if 符合以下條件即可加入健保：
- Stay in Taiwan for 6 consecutive months after receiving ARC在取得 ARC 後連續居住滿6個月
- You may leave Taiwan only once and less than 30 days during this period期間僅可出境一次且不超過30天
- Days outside Taiwan are not counted
出境天數不列入計算
NHI Premium 健保費
You can apply for NHI if 符合以下條件即可加入健保：
- Stay in Taiwan for 6 consecutive months after receiving ARC在取得 ARC 後連續居住滿6個月
- You may leave Taiwan only once and less than 30 days during this period期間僅可出境一次且不超過30天
- Days outside Taiwan are not counted
