This page provides key admissions information, including requirements, procedures, and timelines for different applicant types, such as International, Overseas Chinese, Mainland China, and special programs.

International Applicants
Applicants who do not hold ROC (Taiwan) nationality and are applying with foreign academic qualifications. This category generally applies to students studying abroad without Taiwanese citizenship.
Overseas Chinese Applicants
Applicants of Chinese descent who reside outside Taiwan and do not currently hold household registration in Taiwan. Eligibility is typically based on heritage and overseas residency status.
Mainland China Applicants
Applicants who hold a People’s Republic of China (PRC) passport and reside in Mainland China. Admission is subject to specific regulations set for Mainland Chinese students.
International Industry-Academia Collaboration Program in Long-Term Care Applicants
This program is designed for Filipino international students. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold a recognized high school qualification, meet residency requirements, and be prepared to study in a bilingual (English–Mandarin) environment.
International Foundation Program
International Tzu Chi Foundation Program
This program is designed for international students who wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree but need to build their Chinese proficiency first. Applicants must hold a recognized high school qualification and meet Ministry of Education regulations. The program includes a Chinese preparatory period (no prior Chinese required), after which students must achieve TOCFL A2 to continue into their degree program.
